iTIC Lively

A demonstration service by the Intelligent Traffic Information Center (iTIC) Foundation

This map turns the iTIC probe-vehicle network into two at-a-glance views of Thailand's road network. As GPS probes (trucks, taxis, fleet vehicles and mobile apps) move through the country, they report position and speed. We aggregate those reports per road link and render them here so you can see, in near real time, where the action is and how fast traffic is moving.

Two views

Liveliness
A warm “heat” glow that spills to both sides of each road, scaled by how many probes pass through. Brighter, wider corridors are the most active — a quick way for retail, real-estate and out-of-home advertising to spot prime, high-footfall locations. The colour scale adapts automatically to the busiest roads in view.
Speed
Average probe speed per link, coloured on the Longdo traffic scale (fast → moderate → slow). Because an expressway and a small soi have very different “normal” speeds, the thresholds adapt to each road class.

Data & privacy

Figures are aggregated counts and speed sums per road link, binned into three-hour windows — never individual vehicle tracks. Probe identities are not exposed through this view.
